Role of youth in environmental protection mulled in Baku

A round table was held under the subject of “Role of young generation in the environmental protection” in the Aarhus Public Environmental Information Center with the participation of students and teachers yesterday.

The officers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) gave thorough information on the events realized in the spheres of environmental protection, effective use of natural resources, and stressed the importance of public and youth in the solution of environmental issues.

The preceptors and students of Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University, University of Architecture and Construction, Odlar Yurdu University, and Azerbaijan State Oil Academy partook at the round table pointed out the recent interests of the young mostly to the specialties of ecology and environmental protection, and accentuated the significance of raising of the ecological thinking of people in the settlement of existing environmental problems.
At the end of the event, the specialists of MENR answered the questions of the students.
