
The two new ferries will be delivered in Baku by late 2012, Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company spokesman Vugar Sadigov said, adding that the two ferries - Barda and Balaken are being constructed in the Croatian city of Pula.
”Based on the agreement, the ferries should be ready by the end of 2012. Now, the assembly and finishing work are underway. New ferries will be put into operation on the route of the Baku-Aktau-Baku and Baku-Turkmenbashi-Baku,” Sadigov said. Their cargo capacity is 54 cars. The length reaches154.5 meters, width - 18.3 meters height of the side - 7.5 meters.
