Azerbaijan joins Int' Turkology Workshop

Deputy of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) Jale Aliyeva participated in the 1st International Turkology Workshop, in Istanbul Turkey. The Workshop co-organized by the Yunus Emre Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Linguistic Society has brought together 60 turcologists from 46 countries.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Turkish Language Society, Mustafa Kacalin, Chairman of the Yunus Emre Institute, Prof. Ali Fuat noted that the aim of establishing Turkey`s Government-funded Yunus Emre Institute is bring Turkish language teaching in line with modern requirements.
Azerbaijani MP Jale Aliyeva also pointed out that Azerbaijani Turkish languages are too close and they can understand each other easier than the other Turkic-speaking countries.

Jale Aliyeva stressed importance of strengthening linguistic scientists’ cooperation for further reinforcing the relations.
