Ecology ministry carries out monitoring

Officers of the Department of Environmental Protection of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources conducted a survey in order to examine the compliance with the requirements of the environmental protection in the country territory on April 10-15.

During the process of inspection, 110 acts and protocols were drawn up against the law violations by natural persons and legal entities, and 49 timed mandatory orders were made to eliminate the shortcomings.

Penalties worth AZN 91100 were imposed on 28 cases overall, claims worth AZN 2188 were made on 21 cases with respect to the damages afflicted on the environment, and repayments worth AZN 31273 were applied against the natural and juridical persons on 162 cases for the leaving and discharging of wastes in the environment. 7 cases were sent to law enforcement bodies, while another 14 cases to executive bodies for the taking of measures. On water reserves 3 acts and a protocol were compiled, and 2 timed mandatory orders were made.

On the protection of atmospheric air 12 acts and 2 protocols were drawn up, and 9 timed mandatory orders were compiled. A penalty worth AZN 11500 and compensation worth AZN 6931 was made on 52 cases.

On land reserves 4 acts and 2 protocols were drawn up, a timed mandatory order was made. A penalty worth AZN 600 and repayment worth AZN 2049 was made on 2 cases.
On the protection of the bowels of the earth 6 acts were compiled, and 5 timed mandatory orders were made.

On the leaving of domestic wastes and slops in the environment 26 acts and 9 protocols were drawn up, and 28 timed mandatory orders were drawn up. A penalty worth AZN 27000 and repayment worth AZN 18027 was made on 17 cases.

On the protection of fauna and flora 37 acts and 8 protocols were compiled, and 4 timed mandatory orders were made. A penalty worth AZN 52000 on 7 cases, and a claim worth AZN 2096 on 17 cases was made.
