More licensed hotels operate in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Culture & Tourism Ministry has announced the effectiveness of joint activities with the Ministry of Taxes in identifying the unlicensed and tax evading hotels. Rahman Orujlu, the MCT Research, Statistics & Licensing Department’s head, says that currently the country is numbering nearly 500 hotels.

"To date, 328 hotels of them have been licensed. The rest ones, after monitoring conducted by the MCT and Taxes Ministry, almost all applied to the Ministry for a license, and their applications are under consideration," Orujlu said.
