First environmental-geological map drafted

The first zoning map describing environmental-geological processes in Azerbaijan was prepared by the Complex Hydro-Geology and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry , the Expedition’s Chief Engineer Shaig Niftiyev said.

The map was drawn on the basis of the results of environmental-geological monitoring conducted in the country through many years. Niftiyev said the zoning map would describe intensity of landslides, floods, land erosion and other environmental-geological processes in the country’s territory.

The chief engineer said the work on this map was completed and it would be sent to the relevant organizations to be published soon.
