Baku to host int'l conference on SIFE program

Baku is to host an international conference of SIFE SILK ROAD leaders on program dedicated to Students in Free Enterprise, on March 12. The conference will bring together representatives from Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan as well as the president of SIFE Worldwide international Alvin Rohs and his consultants.

The goal of SIFE program is expansion of international relations of youth in the field of entrepreneurship and increase the knowledge of the participants taking part in competitions on this program.

A forum of the meeting of business leaders with youth will be hold within the frame of program. Representatives of 20 high educational institutions from regional countries will sign a memorandum at the forum.

SIFE projects are undertaken by highly dedicated student teams of more than 1,600 university campuses in 39 countries. SIFE was established in 1975 in the United States on behalf of the National Leadership Institute. SIFE World Cup has been held regional competition since 2001 and Azerbaijani team have joined from 2006.

Students in Free Enterprise offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, in hopes of improving the standard of living for millions in the process.
