Trial over military commissar held in Baku

The Republican Prosecutor’s Office finished criminal investigation into military commissar and other officials of the military commissariat of Binagadi district of Baku and sent the materials to the court.

Baku Military Court reported that they will begin legal proceedings soon. Former military commissar of Binagadi district Feyzi Aghabeyov and other officials of the commissariat were arrested in 2011on corruption charges. Aghabeyov is accused of bribery.

Military prosecutor of Azerbaijan Khanlar Veliyev said during the meeting on 2011 outcomes that 84 corruption and bribery facts, including call-up infringements and abuse of office, were identified last year. Criminal investigation into the military commissariats of Surakhani and Khatai districts of Baku, as well as Jalilabad and Aghdam regions was finished and the investigative materials were sent to the court.

Baku Military Court has already started legal proceedings on the cases of former military commissar of Sumgayit City Samir Mammadov, chief of 2nd unit of the military commissariat Fakhraddin Aliyev, chairman of the commissariat’s medical commission Mirnazir Mukhtarov, assistant chief of the 4th unit Azer Khaligov, as well as former military commissar of Surakhani district Tevekkul Aghayev, chief of the 2nd unit Murad Ibrahimov, chief of the 4th unit Tale Ibrahimov, inspector of the wnd unit Marbud Mammadov, chairman of the medical commission Aslan aliyev and citizen Boris Abbasov.
