Oldest of active Azerbaijani actors turned 83

The oldest of active Azerbaijani theater actors, Nodar Shashig oglu has turned 83.
Nodar Shashig, is also enlisted in a Guinness Book of Records, as the oldest actor to ever portray King Lear, in 2009. Shashig olgu became popular all over the post-soviet countries after portraying legendary secrect service agent Mexti Huseyn-zade in the movie “On Far Away Shores” in 1958.

Currently, Shashig oglu is an actor of the Azerbaijani National Russian Dramatic Theater.
