Brittany Murphy's widower Simon Monjack has revealed that the actress used to worry about dying young.
Murphy was born with mitral valve prolapse, which prevented one of the valves in her heart from closing properly.
The condition is treatable and doctors told Murphy that it should not interfere with her leading a normal life, but Monjack has claimed that the illness always haunted the star.
He told People: "She had expressed to me a fear of dying young and a fear of her heart. We had it checked out every way you could imagine."
Murphy died on December 20 following a cardiac arrest at her LA home, aged 32. The cause of her death has since been deferred pending the results of a toxicology test.
