Azerbaijani documentary film "Lahij" was awarded at the10th International FilmAT Film, Art & Tourism Festival, which was held in Warsaw, Poland.
The jury consisted of well-known filmmakers, and media representatives from the tourism sector. The Chairman of the jury was Zbigniew Zmudski.
160 other films from around the world were presented at the festival.
The Azerbaijani movie “Lahij” was awarded in the festival’s most important category, “Best Documentary”.
The film tells about the ancient art of artisans, their way of life, traditions and about the great interest of tourists to the village of Lahij.
“Lahij”s screenwriter and film director is Tofig Shahverdiyev, producer is Fariz Ahmadov. The director of the film’s installations is Khanlar Agayev, sound - Rasim Mehdiyev, executive producers - Mohammad Niyazi and Huseynov Agabeyov, the producer is Fariz Ahmadov.
Austrian film "New Imperial History - Memories and the future" was awarded in the category of "Art", the Sweden film “Time” and Belgian " Could only happen in Gent" in the “Ecology” category and Czech film "Escape to Papua New Guinea" in the category of Tourism.
