Georgia hosts exhibition of Azerbaijani artists

Azerbaijani painters` works are on display at the Art Museum in Georgian capital.

Works by Ulviyya Hamzayeva, Sakit Mammadov, Eldar Babazade, Dilafruz Bagirova, Eyvaz Valiyev, Agshin Kazimov, Ilgar Alakbarov, Azer Aliyev and others aroused keen interest among art lovers.

The exhibition has been organized with support of the SOCAR Georgian Representation and initiated by the Georgia-Azerbaijan Association of Friendly Relations.

Valeri Asatiani, professor of the Tbilisi State University and the chairman of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Association of Friendly Relations opened the event. Mr. Asatiani praised the deepening of cooperation in all spheres, particularly cultural one between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Stressing the importance of such exhibitions, member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan Ilgar Akbarov noted that the event would last till January 3, 2013.

The opening ceremony also saw speeches by employee of the SOCAR Georgian Representative Shovgi Mehdizade, chairman of the National Congress of Georgian Azerbaijanis Ali Babayev and others.
