SOCAR President: We are expecting the decision of government about illegal buildings in SOCAR’s area

The fate of illegal buildings in the area of State Oil company will bepend on the decision of government about illegal buildings, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev:

"You know that, a commission was established in the government for these issues. We’ll fulfill the decision which is passed. We’re expecting the decision of the government".

Illegal buildings have been constructed in SOCAR’s oil contaminated areas and even in the mines. Abdullayev noted that, only the buildings in accordance to SOCAR’s permission are legal: "We’ll try to destroy the buildings preventing the implementation of technological works, at least. IN general, all these issues will be fulfilled in accordance to order of government".

He also noted that those houses were dangerous for the residents: "They must understand that, it is dangerous to build the house near oil well. On the other hand, it is difficult to live there from ecological aspect. May be they don’t understand, but this situation is harmful for their genofond and generation".

Besides, he noted that, no one vouched for safety of their life: "Different processes are underway, in the wells, sometimes. Everything is possible".
