Overall IT sector revenues increase in Azerbaijan

In January, the total revenue of the ICT, information and postal sector in Azerbaijan totaled 92.9 million manat compared to 76.6 million manat in January 2010, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies said.

The telecommunication sector of the republic increased by 15 percent up to 77.3 million manat, of which 52.4 million manat fell to the mobile sector. The volume of services in IT-sector in January increased by 2.5 times up to 13.2 million manat.

Revenue growth in the sector of postal services and information hit 12.5% (1.7 million manat), and 80.6% (0.7 million manat), respectively.
