SOCAR commissions new gas condensate well in the Caspian Sea

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR has put into operation a new well in the shallow part of the Guneshli field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said on Monday. The well has been drilled by LLC "SOCAR-AQS".

According to the company, the new well was commissioned on the platform "Gunashli-13". Some 152,000 cubic meters of gas and 20 tons of condensate are daily produced from the interval 3,368-3,350 meters.

SOCAR-AQS was founded on Dec.19 in 2007. The company's shareholders are: SOCAR - 51%, and Abseron Qazma - 49%.

The company carries out operations on oil and gas well drilling and construction using three rigs located on two fixed platforms at the Guneshli Field. Its main customer is the Azneft Production Union. Drilling operations are conducted from a drill tower on the platform "Gunashli-11, and two drill towers on the platform "Gunashli-13".
