
The tender commission of the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) under the Azerbaijani Economic Development selected 3 of 8 investment projects from business entities to construct stock-breeding complexes for a bull or dairy cow, NFES Executive Director Shirzad Abdullayev said.
The commission selected the agricultural farm "Hagijamalxan", plant for production of milk "Atropatena" and OOO Garainek (agricultural farm).
The total cost of these three projects amounts to 33 million manat, of which 9.7 million manat will be funded through the NFES's concessional loans.
The investment competition required the followings: an investment project should include the establishment of a bull-breeding complex for dairy cattle for at least 100 head, the area chosen for the construction of the production facility must have the best infrastructure, livestock complex must be equipped with technology that meets international standards and equipped with laboratories, which meet modern standards. Crop area should be allocated to meet the demand for food and held talks with the food producers. A bull or dairy cattle must be suitable to the climatic conditions and have high productivity.
The Azerbaijan Investment Company or its subsidiaries also might finance the investment projects on the basis of agreement between the parties. However, the structure will not participate in the project, Abdullayev said.
