Azerbaijan to attend telecommunications congress for Russian and CIS

The congress will focus on current state and prospects of telecommunications market of the CIS countries, global economic crisis impact on this field, attraction of investments and choice of investment strategy.

Discussions will be held on fiber optic nodes, Wimax, 3G and Ethernet technologies, as well as a special presentation on next generation networks. In addition, the participants will touch upon increase of content volume on the network and issues of broadband demand.

The second day of the congress is dedicated to main growing markets of CIS countries including Azerbaijan. A report on state of Azerbaijan’s telecommunications market will be delivered by Hafiz Hajiyev, head of traffic analysis and marketing department of international relations and calculations center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.

Official delegations of the CIS countries, representatives of large telecommunications companies, analysts and experts will attend the event.
