Azerbaijan’s Azerkimiya state-owned chemicals maker was not affected by the world financial crisis, the company in a statement.

According to the company, it could retain 7,500 jobs amid raging global economic crisis.
In addition, the company continues to enhance the production of various types of chemical products, including those exported abroad.
The company also reported the construction of a new petrochemical complex will soon be launched, which will allow Azerbaijan to export large quantities of high-standard chemical and petrochemical products to world markets.
Azerkimiya increased production of commercial products by 35.2% (overproduction exceeded 41% in ethylene-polyethylene and synthesis caoutchouc plants).
The company exports products to more than 30 countries (Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Holland, Latvia, etc.).
