
"We would like to launch petrochemical complex of Romania and Petkim in Turkey (SOCAR owns part of share holding)," Kerimov said.
Presently, no talks on purchase or participation of SOCAR in any energy projects of Romania are held. Representation of the company in Romania conducts research of the market, potential of refineries of this country.
"There are 6-7 refineries processing big volumes of oil in Romania.
Presently, we study these opportunities but no discussions and talks are held now," representation head said.
Principal goal of SOCAR representation in Romania is to ensure sale of Azerbaijani oil and oil products on European market in future.
SOCAR representations in Romania, Turkey, Austria, as well as SOCAR trading company in Switzerland opened last year conduct joint study of European oil and gas market, especially markets of Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary and other countries.
"We operate together to prepare united strategy in future," Kerimov said.
