Azerbaijan has all chances to go out of the world crisis with minimal negative implications, said Mardan Efendiyev, expert on economic and financial issues and member of the Political Council of the Party of Democratic Reforms.
He said the specialists are actively discussing several existing scripts of the conduct of the economic bloc of the government.
"But here everything depends on the period the world crisis will last and the world oil price, as Azerbaijan is interested in high world oil prices", said he and added, however, that he considers that even under today's world price of some $40 per barrel, our oil industry is highly profitable, which can not be said about the Russian oil industry, which is explained by both objective and subjective reasons.
"In other words, even if current world oil prices allow us to go out of the world financial crisis with minimal losses, in current conditions the government of Azerbaijan might strengthen control over the purposeful use of budget means, which may reduce to minimum the dependence of our economy on oil factor and promote the development of small and middle business", said he.
