Azerbaijan carried out import and export transactions in the amount of $10.5 billion with 135 countries within 11 months of 2007, according to the State Statistical Committee.

Of this amount, export made up $5.5 billion (52.2%) and import $5 billion (47.8%). The surplus balance made up $461.9 million.
The European Union accounted for 29.1% of import and export transactions, CIS for 25.6% and other countries for 45.3%.
A greater part of foreign trade transactions (81.7%) fell on Turkey, Russia, Italy, Iran, United States, Ukraine, Germany, Great Britain, Georgia, France, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Japan, China, India and South Korea.
