ATIB prize "Golden wheel" presented in Philharmonic Society

Highly appreciating the commissioning of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main pipeline Erentok spoke about its political and economic sides, APA reports.

Erentok expressed his gratitude to Azercell, Ataholding group of companies and Ramstore supermarkets for organizing the event and awarded them special diplomas. Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline is assessed as the event contributing to the expansion of multilateral relations between the two countries by the decision of the ATIB.

ATIB passed a decision on presenting prizes on three nominations – Statesman of the Year, NGO of the Year and Company/ Businessman of the Year. Special message of thanks prize was founded from this year. Taking into account the efforts of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian leaders and their role in the operation of the BTC pipeline Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Georgia's President Michael Saakashvili and Turkish Prime Minister Rajab Tayyip Erdogan were awarded "The statesman of the year".

US Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Marmara Foundation were selected the NGO of the Year for lobbying and research in the implementation of the BTC pipeline which contributed to the mutual cooperation between the countries, "BTC Co" and "BOTASH A.SH" companies were awarded "The company of the year".

Turkey's ninth President Suleyman Damiral and US 42nd President Bill Clinton were selected for "Special thanks prize" for their support for initiatives on the BTX. State Philharmonic’s 50-people children orchestra performed after the official part of the ceremony.

ATIB annually presents "Golden wheel" on the event contributing to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey on April 17. Direct flight from Baku to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was the event of last year. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was awarded "Statesman of the year", Fuzuli Alakbarov "Businessman of the year", TRNC Chamber of Industry "NGO of the year", Azerin "The singer of the year" last year.
