Construction materials output jumps sharply in January

In the field of construction materials production, the total value of output in January 2026 reached 117.8 million manats (about 69.3 million USD), marking a 39.3 percent increase compared to the same month of the previous year, AzerNEWS reports, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Based on this year-on-year growth rate, January 2025 production is estimated at around 84.6 million manats (approximately 49.8 million USD).

Official comparable figures for January 2024 were not specified in the Committee’s current release, but production levels at that time were notably lower than in 2025, reflecting the subsequent acceleration seen over the past two years.

During January 2026:

• Asphalt production increased 2.1 times year-on-year

• Lime production rose by 40 percent

• Output of prefabricated concrete construction structures grew by 28.9 percent

• Cement clinker production increased by 13.7 percent

At the same time, contraction was recorded in parts of the metallurgical sector. In January 2026:

• Production of fittings declined by 14.9 percent

• Steel casting output fell by 34 percent

• Production of other finished metal products dropped by 60.6 percent.
