15 March 2010 [17:48] - TODAY.AZ
The co-chairmen of the Geneva International Consultations on the Issues of Caucasus will arrive in Georgia this week, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze announced at the briefing today.

She said, Pier Morel, Bulat Nurgaliev and Antti Turunen will pay an official visit to Georgia on March 17-19.

This will be the first visit of the UN Special representative to Georgia, Antti Turunen to Georgia.

The co-chairpersons of the Geneva consultations will hold meetings with Georgia's senior officials.

They will also travel to the breakaway Abkhazia and Tskhinvali and talk with the leaders of the puppet regime regarding the situation in the break-away regions.

Mrs. Kalandadze expressed her concern that the negotiations in the Geneva format were still ineffective.
