NTRC to appeal to Azerbaijan IM to prevent illegal cable network

They discussed the development of cable network in the country.

"I did not hide my anxiety about inactivity of cable televisions during the meeting and stated the necessity of development of this sphere," Meherremli said.

An agreement was reached on investing of cable television for its development and notable changes will be observed in the activity of the television from next year. The chief also said that the service pays will be decreased. The problem on the illegal cable network in newly-built houses also was discussed in the meeting.

The chief said that he will appeal to the IM (Interior Ministry) and local executive authorities.

There are nine registered televisions in Azerbaijan at present, APA reports.
