Haji Mammadov: "NSM Investigation Office chief Talat Aliyev hid Javadaga Sultanov"

Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Defendant Kamil Sadreddinov, the chief of Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Office Department Fighting Property Crimes answered Khanlar Hasanov's questions, the lawyer for Zamire Hajiyeva.

He said he did not know about Haji Mammadov's meeting with Zakir Nasirov. The former chief also answered the questions about Haji Mammadov's intimidations. "I solved this problem by sending him to retirement. I was on holiday at the same time with Haji Mammadov. When I came back I did not see him any more," he said.

Sadreddinov also said that he did not take part in kidnapping of Zeynalabdin Babayev and Ogtay Babayev.

Then Haji Mammadov answered the questions of public prosecutors. He confessed that he threatened Kamil Sadreddinov. He also mentioned that Sadreddinov was not involved in their last crime. "I collaborated with Javadaga Sultanov, Baku Police Office former deputy chief. NSM Investigation Office chief Talat Aliyev hid him by receiving money. The court should make a decision to arrest Talat Aliyev," Mammadov said.

Then Kamil Sadreddinov answered the prosecutor Bashir Javadov's questions about NSM pressures on him.

The trial will continue with the lawyers' questions to Sadreddinov in the second half of the day, APA reports.
