Barmek invites foreign expert to calculate the investment made in Azerbaijan

He said that Economic Development Ministry also agreed with the issue. Another expert will soon come to calculate the damages to be reimbursed to Barmek, APA reports.

He said that it has been planned to yield the control of the company to Azerbaijan by August 3 but Azerbaijani Government representatives has not joined the process yet.

"We are ready to square accounts with them. But the opposite side has not come yet. I will pay all salaries by August 3."

He hopes that Turkish-Azerbaijan intergovernmental economic commission will discuss the issue of Barmek tomorrow.

"Barmek issue is very important for the commission. Azerbaijan and Turkey signed an agreement on investment making in 1994. But I, as an investor, experience difficulties. They repossess my company, seize my property, freeze my accounts and impose a ban on my leaving Azerbaijan and I experience troubles although I have paid all taxes. Turkish party to attend the meeting is aware of my problem."

He said that he will leave Azerbaijan as soon as he yields the control of the company to the Government.

"Huseyn Arabul will not stay in Azerbaijan. I experienced problems here. I may visit Azerbaijan every two month even if I build up a business here."
