President Bush to welcome President Aliyev of Azerbaijan to the White House

President Bush will welcome President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan to the White House for a meeting on April 28, 2006.

Azerbaijan is a key ally in a region of great importance and a valued partner, making important contributions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.

The President and President Aliyev will discuss a range of issues including democracy promotion and cooperation in the Caucasus, energy diversification, and our common commitment to working together to advance freedom and security.
