The first Transparency Center of Kaspersky Lab will be opened in November in Zurich, Switzerland, the Vice-President of Public Affairs of Kaspersky Lab Anton Shingarev told Trend.

Shingarev noted that the Center will be opened as part of the company’s Global Transparency Initiative.

“Currently, Kaspersky Lab is being deliberately ousted from certain markets and one of the main reasons is the importance of antivirus software for protecting critical infrastructure. Our products and solutions are not prohibited by law in any country. Only in the United States, there is a ban on the purchase of products of the company by state agencies, and the UK and Hungary have issued prohibitive recommendations. In contrast to this, Kaspersky Lab, with its Global Transparency Initiative, intends to show and technically prove that all accusations against us are groundless," Shingarev said.

In the Transparency Center, the trusted partners and government organizations will be able to check the source code of Kaspersky products, as well as the tools that the company uses.

It will provide access to the secure software development documentation, the source code of any product released to the market (including its earlier versions), the databases of threat detection methods, the source code of cloud services responsible for processing and storing customer data in Europe currently, and in North America, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore in the future, as well as the software tools used to create products, antivirus databases and cloud services.
