A film will be shot about the life and bravery of Azerbaijan’s national hero Mubariz Ibrahimov.

Mubariz Ibrahimov, 22, perished after killing four Armenian soldiers and wounding four others in a clash in June 2010 on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces. He was posthumously declared a National Hero by President Ilham Aliyev.

Press-Secretary of "?st Film"  Babek Hasanzade, addressing a press-conference devoted to the film, said that the teaser, which has earlier been presented in social networks, has aroused great interest not only in Azerbaijan but also in Turkey.

Writer Rashad Suleymanoglu, in turn, noted that the filming process was discussed with representatives of the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Ministry of Defense.

The idea of the film was very warmly received, and representatives of the ministries promised to assist the crew when working on the movie.

The authors of the script of the film are Ali Doganchay (Turkey) and Rashad Suleymanoglu (Azerbaijan). However, the film's cast and director have not been named.

"Six directors, among them both Azerbaijani and Turkish filmmakers are going to participate in the filming process. The foreign director will be invited for the filming of action scenes. The full list of the crew will be announced later," said Hasanzade.

The teaser was shot with participation of professional stuntmen from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Romania and Azerbaijan.

"We'll try to demonstrate the real events. So maybe some shootings will take place in the house of Mubariz or we will select a location as close as possible to reality," said Hassanzadeh.

"In 2015, we had talks with relatives of Mubariz, but we plan again to meet them. The film's scenario is not fully ready, and therefore in the future we plan more meetings with Mubariz`s family members. We think to work closely with the relatives of the national hero to know more details about the life,” said Suleymanoglu.

All rights of the movie belong to the Turkish film company "?st Film".

"This will be the first film of the company, but despite this, "?st Film" took part in the filming of action scenes of the  most popular Turkish TV series and movies, as well as Hollywood and Bollywood films," said  Company representative Maksim Huseynov

The film "Mubariz" will be presented in 2018. The film will be demonstrated in Turkic-speaking countries and European countries.
