The Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas in the US have started an urgent action by opposing racist allegations against Turkey in the US Congress.

In less than two days, the House Foreign Affairs Committee is scheduled to vote on the House Resolution 306 introduced by Representatives Howard Berman (D-CA) and Edward Royce (R-CA) to accuse Turkish people of an alleged intentional destruction of Christian religious heritage.

“The resolution is a wholesale attempt to legislate racist Turcophobia fostered by ethnic special interest group without any legal, historical or factual basis”, say the Diaspora leaders in Washington DC urging their members to call the representative to vote against H. Res. 306 during the HFAC vote on July 20, 2011, and to inform the local media about the real intention of this special-interest-driven legislation.
