Heydar Aliyev Day will be celebrated May 10 in New Mexico's capital of Santa Fe.
Given the national leader Heydar Aliyev's historical role in establishing independent Azerbaijan and partnerships with Western states, Santa Fe Mayor David Coss announced May 10th as "Heydar Aliyev Day", the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles reported.
New Mexico is one of 13 states on the West Coast of the United States, which is serviced by the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles.
