Azerbaijani athletes attended the 2nd Open Balkan Youth Muaythai Championships held in Istanbul on Dec.2-4. The Azerbaijani team included 8 athletes and 2 coaches. Azerbaijani athletes won six medals, Muhammadhuseyn Verdiyev-36 kg- the gold medal, Subhan Mammadov -48 kg-1 - the gold medal, Heydar Heydarov -33 kg – the silver medal, Parvin Narsirzade - 40 kg – the silver medal, Ibadulla-Mammadov - 36 kg- the bronze medal and Suleyman Suleymanov - 70 kg the bronze medal.
