World and European Champion Nizami Pashayev was appointed as the head coach of the Azerbaijani weightlifting team, azerisport.com reported.
"I have already met with National Weightlifting Federation President Jahangir Askerov. He entrusted me the team, so that I prepared it for the London Olympics 2012. As you know, five weightlifters won certificates for the Olympics. I have been tasked to win an Olympic medal. I have the time to determine the composition and prepare the team for the Olympics,
Pashayev said.
