Azerbaijani grand master Vugar Hashimov is leading the international tournament in Italy, after beating David Navara in the 8th round.
The results of the 8th round are as follows: V. Hashimov, F. Valyecho 5,5 pts, S. Movsesyan 4,5, V.İvanchuk, F.Karuana, A.Morozevich, D.Navara, A.Onishuk 4 pts, N.Short 3,5 and M.Godena 1 pts.
