World Chess Federation, FIDE, has announced its latest top-100 rating list, ranking Azerbaijan's Shahriyar Mammadyarov 8th with 2,763 points.
Another Azerbaijani grandmasters Teymur Rajabov, Vugar Hashimov and Rauf Mammadov are 12th, 17th and 83th respectively.
Indian Viswanathan Anand tops the list with 2804 points, and is followed by Norwegian Magnus Carlsen with 2802 and Armenian Levon Aronian with 2801 points.
