The 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, held in Qatari capital Doha, ended, Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation said in a message on Nov. 3.

The national team of Azerbaijan was represented by Murad Agarzayev, Timur Bayramov, Dariy Morozov, Ivan Tikhonov, Nikita Simonov and Marina Nekrasova.

The best result among Azerbaijani athletes was achieved by Nikita Simonov. He made efforts to justify the hopes on him. Nikita, participating at the continental championship a few months ago, took 12th place in the exercises with hoops. This time the Azerbaijani gymnast improved his program even more and ranked the 7th among 194 gymnasts.

Next, Azerbaijani gymnasts will take part in the qualifying competitions for the Olympic Games.
