Azerbaijani U23 judo fighter Hidayat Heydarov (73kg) has claimed a gold medal at the European Championships held in Tel Aviv.

He secured the medal thanks to a victory over Israeli Tohar Butbul.

Another Azerbaijani fighter Telman Valiyev (66kg) ranked 5th at the tournament.
