The Azerbaijan national under-21 football team have been held to a 2-2 draw by Russia in the qualifying round match of the 2017 European Championship in Rostov-na-Donu.

Azerbaijan`s goals came from Mahir Madatov and Rahil Mammadov.

Azerbaijan rank 4th in the Group 7.
