Conditions for the competitions in Baku are not worse, than they will be in Rio de Janeiro, Hungarian gymnastics athlete Dorina Böczög? told Trend Feb 20.

Azerbaijan is doing everything necessary for the development of gymnastics, according to Böczög?.

"I participated in the first European games, now I come for the second time and don't stop wondering how the competitions are carried out in Baku. Conditions here are not worse than those that will be at the Olympic Games in Rio, this is a good reason to be proud", she said.

She noted that on the whole she's satisfied with her performances in qualifying. "However, all athletes are very strong, and we must strive to win a medal", athlete added.

The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics kicked off in Baku Feb. 19 and is to end Feb. 21. As many as 45 male and 22 female gymnasts will compete for medals in apparatus finals of the World Challenge Cup.

In general, athletes from 19 countries are to participate in the event.

Men’s and women’s qualifications on the first two days of the competitions will be followed by apparatus finals on the last day.
