Martino has made it clear in talks with Andoni Zubizarreta that he needs a new centre-back. Ruling out Thiago Silva, the manager has drawn up a list of players he would like to work with.
According to reports in the Argentinean press, there are three players that 'Tata' rates for the spot: Julio Dos Santos, Walter Samuel and Santiago Vergino. The Technical Director of Football's short-term objective is to bring a defender on board and ensure that those players on their way out agree to go.
