"Moreover, I was able to defeat well-known gymnasts, including world champion Darya Dmitriyeva,” Garayeva said. “It was a joy to hear the national anthem and it reminded me the pleasant memories from various tournaments of international scale. Did I expect to win in the finals with a hoop? Yes, I always began to perform with the psychology of winning and with the aim to represent myself and Azerbaijan. This time I made small mistakes that ultimately did not prevent me to remain in the top of the list.”
