Azerbaijan has brought the number of places to 39 at the 2012 Olympic Games. Swimming's international governing body FINA has granted Azerbaijan 2 wildcard places at the London Olympics.
The two licenses were awarded to the Azerbaijani Water Sports Federation because of the active participation of Azerbaijani sportsmen and women in contest held under FINA auspices, a spokeswoman for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth and Sport, told.
