The second contest day of the European Olympic tournament in boxing is underway in Trabzon.
Vatan Huseynli (81 kg) stepped to the rink after Tamerlan Abdullayev (69 kg) who beat Bulgarian Semen Chamov and reached the quarterfinal.
This is already the second fight for Huseynli. A day earlier in the round of 32 of the final he beat Spanish Abner Lloveras. This time Veten was meeting Polish Mateusz Tryk. The fight ended 14:13 in favor of the Azerbaijani representative.
In the quarterfinal on 18 April Huseynli is to meet French Abdelkader Buegna, who beat Slovak Sandro Dirnfield - 16:10.
Three licenses are on stake in the weight below 81 kg. It is necessary to get to the final to ensure a ticket to London. Meanwhile, the boxers who lost in the semifinal will also have the chance to get a license: the offender must win the final.
