The Italian resort city Pesaro hosted the next stage of the World Cup and international tournament for juniors under the Adriatic Arena.  According to the news service for the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan, national team leader Aliya Garayeva took the third place this time. By taking the sixth place in all-round, she got to the three of four finals.

Her show with clubs was better than the ribbon (fourth place) and the ball routines (8th position) and she  became third with the clubs just below the eternal rivals from Russia-Eugenia Kanayeva and Darya Kondakova.

Nilufer Niftaliyeva brought the second bronze to our country. The 14-year-old Baku gymnast that competed among juniors finished third in the final with the clubs losing to the first and second prize winners from Russia and Italy by a bit less than 0.5 points. In another final with a hoop Niftaliyeva finished seventh and together with her peer Gulsum Shafizade, they took the sixth place in the team contest.

Among other participants of the World Cup, Lala Yusifova finished 21st , while the group team came 14th.

In the coming weekend these and other gymnasts, both juniors and seniors, are to compete in an international contest in the Hungarian capital.

Meanwhile, the contests of young graces than involved representatives of Azerbaijan have ended in Ufa. Thus, the students of the Baku Gymnastics School Ilaha Mammadova (born in 2001) and nine-year-old Darya Farshbakhshakhriyari won the tournament in their age groups, while Vafa Hasanzade (born in 2002) was called ‘Miss Plasticity’ by Bashkir organizers.
