During the press-conference after Khazar Lankaran – AZAL (1-0) match both head coaches mentioned, that the game was interesting enough.
Juneyt Bicher, Khazar Lankaran head coach, said that it is always difficult to play the first game after break: “Such games is never easy, but today we have seen really interesting performance. In first 20-25 minutes had lot of chances to score, but could not use them. But finally we got the result”.
Turkish specialist briefly talked about the title race: “Khazar Lankaran is a team, which has been playing for the champion title since the first year. The current season is not an exception. The team keeps this ambition, regardless who is the head coach”.
Bicher shared his opinion on debutants: “We gave chances to couple of new players. One of them made the goal assist. Sadio was also good, but we need to be patient to get results from him”.
AZAL head coach Rafig Mirzayev said about the game: “We saw beautiful match. Both side demonstrated very good football. Despite of conceding our players struggled till the end. We got opportunities to score, but could not use them. This is football. We will keep on playing with this attitude in further matches”.
