The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 held next presentation for the students of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). LOC team delivered an information session on preparations for upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Volunteering Programme and employment opportunities. Nearly 40 participants learned more about backstage of this event to be held between 22nd of September and 13th of October.
It is worth to note that, ADA is a choice of international students as well. Therefore, this presentation was exceptional in a way that, international community is also getting aware of upcoming championship and volunteering opportunities it offers. Newly granted with accreditation for European Volunteers Services (EVS) programme, now AFFA has a right to host 60 volunteers from all over Europe via the initiative called “Eastern Partnership Youth Window”. In addition to this, LOC Volunteering division welcomes every enthusiastic individual from all over the world desiring to become one of expected 1000 chosen.
In order to spread the word about women’s football development, the upcoming World Cup and draw attention of potential volunteers there will continue to be held a series of presentations at the higher education institutions, NGOs, embassies, companies and other related organizations.
