Azerbaijan has been unanimously elected a member of the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (EURODOC) at the annual meeting of EURODOC General Assembly in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Azerbaijani delegation led by Ilgar Orujov, Chairman of the Society of Young Scientists, Graduate Students and Masters of Azerbaijan, Director of the Center for Intellectual Development of Young People of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, attended the meeting.
Minister of science and education of Lithuania Gintaras Steponavičius, President of EURODOC Izabella Stanisławiszyn addressed the meeting.
The event also featured presentation of the Society of Young Scientists, Graduate Students and Masters of Azerbaijan. At the presentation the participants were briefed on ongoing reforms, youth policy of Azerbaijan, and state programs related to young scientists.
Armenia was expelled from the organization by a majority of vote due to the inactivity of Ecosocium organization, which represented Armenia in EURODOC.
President of the French Confederation of Young Researchers Ludovic Garattini was elected a new President of EURODOC.
