Prisoners serving terms in the leave correctional facilities will be barred from holiday and leisure outside the correctional institution within three months in case of violation of the penalty rules. This innovation is reflected in additions and changes to the Sentence Execution Code of Azerbaijan.
According to another change, prisoners getting a job outside, but near the correctional facility, or enrolled at higher, secondary specialized or specialized professional institutions may uncontrollably be outside the correctional facility no more than 12 hours a day, without leaving the country.
In addition, if the management of the correctional facility considers it necessary, it can check whether the prisoner, who has a job outside or gets education outside the correctional facility, evades from the job or education. If the prisoner is found evading from job or education, the previous decision regarding the prisoner shall be cancelled.
The bill will be considered at the next meeting of the Parliament.
