Azerbaijan’s mobile operators will cancel units system in May and switch to manat tariffication, Azercell said.
From May 1, Azercell will start to apply manat tarrification. "No price rise is expected in calls by taking into account interests of our subscribers. But there will some discounts". Users will be informed about manat tarrification late April.
Bakcell said that the company had obligations in front of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on switching to manat tarrification until May 31: "A lot of works have already been done in direction of switching to manat tarrification. Bakcell is ready to apply new payment system. We have time until June, but probably, application of manat tarrification will start earlier".
Note that, another mobile operator of Azerbaijan, Azerfon has applied manat tarrification since its establishment.
